According to Airtel Nigeria, Airtel Router bundles are special data plans designed specifically for routers to deliver super fast internet experience on 4G network in locations that have 4G coverage. The bundles are locked to Airtel Router on 4G network, meaning that the data cannot be consumed outside of Airtel 4G coverage area.
So if you paraventure happens to purchase this you should be aware of it's limitations hence the need for this post
As defined whenever you are outside the perimeter or zones having the Airtel 4G network then your subscription and Router becomes useless and valueless.
The Question you need to ask your self is this; How many states in Nigeria are currently having the Airtel 4G network coverage no to mention Globacom, Etisalat NG and MTN Nigeria that are all struggling in terms of upgrading to 4G network too?

- Answers: Customers can subscribe to any Airtel Router Bundle via the following channels:

- · USSD: Dial *370# on your smartphone activate anywhere and anytime from your smartphone.
- · Visit the nearest Airtel store.
- Question: How do I know if my Airtel router is 4G enabled?
- Answers: Check the network specification on the router, you will see it stated “4G” or “LTE”.
- Question: How do I know where Airtel has 4G coverage?
- Answer: Visit https://www.airtel.com.ng/openNetworks to check our 4G coverage locations.
- Question: What happens if I buy these bundles and I move to a place without 4G coverage?
- Answer: The bundles are locked to Airtel 4G network; hence they cannot be used when outside the 4G coverage area.
- You will be required to activate another data plan that is not locked to Airtel 4G. The Airtel Router bundle is subject to validity and will expire unless renewed prior to set validity when the bundle was purchased.

- Answer: Any customer that is using a Router or ODU.
- Question: Is the Ultra plan available to both postpaid and prepaid customers?

- Question: Can I Roll over my unused data?
