INTRODUCING THE TECNO POVA 2
After the first generation, this is the Review of the second generation of Tecno Pova naming line.
Released in June 2021, the major highlights of this device is it's huge 6.9 inches screen size and a gigantic 7000mAh battery. What a great addition and innovation by Tecno mobile. Everything about this phone is big with some exceptions though. Delve with me into the full review of the Tecno Pova 2 in Nigeria.

DISPLAY OF THE TECNO POVA 2
As stated above, It's surprising to see a large screen of almost 7 inches in size being added into a smartphone. I think I could call this phone a palm top or even an Ipad already. It's really a large phone that is expected to be held with both hands during operation because it could be difficult reaching the far ends with a single hand operational process. I am not condemning the display though, if you are a lover of larger screens maybe due to Media and games being played on your device then you would fall in love with this device. It's Screen display type isn't an Amoled screen.
It comes with an IPS LCD type display, with 480 nits brightness level. It's a bit discomforting using the phone directly under the sun due to its low brightness level. It has exactly 6.9 inches display size which is about 113.1 cm2 (~82.8% screen-to-body ratio). It has a display Resolution of 1080 x 2460 pixels (~389 ppi density). I think Tecno tried here with the resolution due to the largeness of the screen size. So if you are looking for a large display, Tecno Pova 2 is for you.

PLATFORM OF TECNO POVA 2
This phone comes with Android 11 operating system straight outta the box. It's on a custom skin called HIOS 7.6 as affiliated with Tecno devices. It is smooth and fluid with alot of features to enjoy. These includes power saving mode, Gaming mode, dark mode and other great features you'll notice during usage. I hope though that Tecno would release future updates to this device because that's the common turn off from the company.
CHIPSET OF TECNO POVA 2
The brain behind the phone is the well known Chipset. It's called the MediaTek Helio G85 (12nm) Chipset. It is a midrange Chipset on a budget devices. Don't expect a premium performance from this Chipset but you can definitely expect a standard performance that will justify the price of the phone. It handles games moderately and other heavy tasks as demanded. For heavy users a huge battery is attached to serve you throughout the day of continuous gameplay.
The central processing unit is made up of an Octa-core (2x2.0 GHz Cortex-A75 & 6x1.8 GHz Cortex-A55) with a Graphics Processing unit called Mali-G52 MC2. Expect value for money from this smartphone. With better optimization, I think the device would perform better than what is currently obtainable.
MEMORY OF TECNO POVA 2
As it is with most of the smartphones across various brands now, this phone has a Dedicated MICRO SD card slot that will aid your Media storage ability. It's Internal storage are as follows
64GB ROM 4GB RAM,
128GB ROM 6GB RAM
This should be enough for day to day activities and storage requirements.

The major highlights of the camera configuration of the Tecno Pova 2 is its Quad camera arrangements. It's main sensor is a Quad 48 MP, f/1.9, (wide), PDAF. It is accompanied with other 2 MP macro, 2 MP for depth and 2 MP depth both for depth sensing. It Features a Quad-LED flash with a Video recording ability of 1440p@30fps, 1080p@30fps. No image stabilization though.
SELFIE CAMERA: A Single low value 8 MP front facing camera is included. It also Features Dual-LED flash and a Video recording ability of 1080p@30fps.
CONNECTIVITY OF TECNO POVA 2
It has Wi-Fi dual-band, hotspot, Bluetooth 5.0, it has GPS with A-GPS, GALILEO, BDS. NFC is also a technology that can be seen on this device. FM radio is included. USB Type-C 2.0, USB On-The-Go are some of the latest inclusion into the device that has been lacking on most Tecno mobile devices.

BUILD QUALITY OF THE TECNO POVA 2
The design of the Tecno Pova 2 is premium looking right on sight. You wouldn't even believe it is made of plastic back and edges. It looks shiny and glossy. The colour mixture is great and superb. It has a normal Build with a Glass front, plastic frame, plastic back. You would need to be careful with the way you handle this phone to avoid damage. I think you should not take it off its pouch and screen protector. This would save you alot of pains. Tecno Pova is boldly written across the rear of the device. The camera arrangements looks great and fantastic.
BATTERY OF TECNO POVA 2
One of the major features that captured my attention was the behemoth 7000mAh battery size that was included in this phone. Without doubt, this size should be sufficient enough to handle whatever task for at least 24 hours straight up without any doubt. If your area is suffering from power outages then this is the perfect smartphone for you. I don't think you would need a Power bank beside you because this phone is a power bank itself. The only downside is the charging speed. It takes almost 3 hours to fully charge from 0 to 100%. This isn't encouraging to me at all . At least a 33 watt fast charging would have been okay. All the same it isn't bad though as it won't prevent you enjoying your phone anyways.

CONCLUSION AND FINAL VERDICT
I am full of admiration for the Tecno Pova 2, Reasons because it has every feature an average Nigerian or African would need from a smartphone. The price is on a toe to toe with its features. So I would say this would result into a good buy if you decide to purchase this phone. It jas the battery you would need, a display size fitting for everyone. A moderate camera size, and a storage capacity that can Also be found on Premium devices. It's build quality is great not forgetting the Chipset used here. Everything is just great but with few drawbacks as listed under the CONS above.
