In today's episode of smartphone reviews, I'll be talking about the Nokia 8.3 5G Smartphone.

The major highlights of this phone is the availability of 5G network modem thanks to its Snapdragon 765G. I could name this device as the "future relevant smartphone" since 5G network is even yet to be available in most of the African countries including Nigeria. But yet embedded into it.

Nokia, after their return have been releasing some great midrange and low range devices. These phones as always have a premium feel and look when handled. I can tell you that Nokia in terms of design are top notch phones that are portable.

Dual high selfie camera is attached to this phone. It has a Rear flash capabilities with a Front-facing camera of about 24 MP fabricated using ZEISS Optics. Photos taken with this phone were great and you should expect standard pictures not a high level though.
CHIPSET OF NOKIA 8.3 5G
I had to cross-check multiple times to confirm that the CPU is made up of the powerful Qualcomm® Snapdragon™ 765G Modular Platform. The G in the processor denotes GAMING. meaning this Chipset has been fabricated to be able to handle tedious and power demanding tasks and games. You would have any problems obtaining this phone. I think this Chipset contributed to the increase in the price of the phone. This Chipset is Fast, efficient, durable and adaptable.
Design Language OF NOKIA 8.3 5G
Overall, am really impressed with the design language especially it's sleek nature. The circular camera arrangements is unique and easily got attention. The body design is smooth and with a bit curvy edges. I'll give this to Nokia as they've really impressed alot of people with this.

OPERATING SYSTEM OF NOKIA 8.3 5G
Android 10 operating system is the User Interface of the phone. Mind you ANDROID 12 is out already. Hopefully Nokia would release an update to this phone to at least android 12 to prevent users from enjoying newer experience coming in with the latest updates
SECURITY OF NOKIA 8.3 5G
The phone has a fast responsive side Mounted fingerprint scanner. I really love it's placement as it is attached with the power button. It has face unlock, pattern or pin method of unlocking the device.
STORAGE OF NOKIA 8.3 5G
The internal storage as seen is 64GB AND 128GB Storage configurations with a support for a MicroSD card slot up to 512 GB. This storage should be enough to handle media files and other relevant documents.
RAM OF NOKIA 8.3 5G
A whooping 8 GB LPDDR of RAM is attached to this device. Not so many devices in this range have this ram storage fabrication.

BATTERY OF NOKIA 8.3 5G
A 4500 mAh battery is powering this device. This is strong enough to handle day to day tasks especially if you are a light user. You should be able to get at least 6 hours if game time on a single charge.
Its charging speed is Just 18Watt too poor for a device of this calibar folks. At least 33Watt would have been acceptable considering the price of this device.
To save more battery juice there is what we call adaptive battery system control added into the UI of the device.

DISPLAY OF NOKIA 8.3 5G
The display Size is about 171.90 x 78.56 x 8.99 mm with a Weight of around 227 g. It's Display Size is 6.81” FHD+ Pure display with an aspect ratio of 20:9. This is one of the largest screens you could obtain from recently released Smartphones. It can barely be held with a single hand during operation except with the support of the second hand. I so much like the display especially if you are a gamer and an ardent movie viewer. But I feel Nokia sacrificed an Amoled screen on this one with an LCD to keep the price point at an affordable level. If not I would have preferred an Amoled screen to the LCD used here.

PRICE OF NOKIA 8.3 5G IN NIGERIA
The Nokia 8.3 5G can be gotten from Jumia and other offline stores at N220,000. It's too expensive at this price though.

CONCLUSION OF NOKIA 8.3 5G
A great addition from Nokia but at that price point? It's absolutely unagreeable. We have other products with better specs still managed to keep the price below a 200k.
If you have the bucks, splash it on this phone, but if you are on a budget, I'll suggest you consider other products from Xiaomi, oneplus, Samsung, Tecno etc.
